    2018-04-11 吴伟华 291 Views

From Lhasa to Xigaze we took the South Line Highway and traveled through Kampala Snow Mountains, Lake Yamdrok, Nagarze County, Gyantse County, etc., and from Kampala Snow Mountains to Nagarze County and Gyantse, it is easily affected by the flooding in the rainy season, which often causes landslides, so the roads were hard to walk, but the scenery was also the most beautiful.

Marnyi Stone is everywhere in the Tibetan area, the direction of the Marnyi Stone is the direction of Tibetan worship.

    Wonderland Lake Yamdrok

In Tibetan language Yamdrok Yumtso means “Jasper Lake”, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, and it resembles a branch of coral. Therefore, it is also known as “The Upper Coral Lake” in Tibetan. Located in Nagarze County, Shannan City, Tibet, about 70 kilometers southwest of Lhasa, it shares the reputation of the three largest holy lakes in Tibet with Lake Namtso and Lake Manasarovar. It is the largest inland lake on the northern foot of the Himalayas. It is the most beautiful in Tibet. The area of Yamdrok Lake is 675km2 and the lake is 4,441 meters above sea level. From Lhasa to Lake Yamdrok, it is necessary to cross the 5030-meter Kampala Pass.

On the first viewpoint of Lake Yamdrok, you can overlook the panorama.

    Noijin Kangsang

Noijin Kangsang is the main peak of Mountain Laguigangri. He leisurely surpasses the “Holy Lake” and temple. Therefore, the Tibetan people call it “Noijin Kangsang”, which means “Carendra lives on the noble snow mountain”, it is 7206 meters above sea level and is located at 90.1 degrees east longitude and 28.9 degrees north latitude, and is located at the junction of Gyantse County and Nagarze County. It is surrounded by more than 10 peaks of more than 6,000 meters, and it is one of the four snow-capped mountains in central Tibet.

In the distance, Noijin Kangsang is towering, quiet and strong.

Over time, some of prayer flags have already faded.

The second scenic spot, Yamdrok's stone monument, under the sunshine,  felling the charm of the God Lake closely, facing the 10th level gale, the brain bore the altitude sickness, Tibet, you are awesome.

From Lake Yamdrok to Xigaze, passing through the Karola Glacier

    Karola Glacier

Karola Glacier is located at the junction of Nagarze County and Gyantse County in the Shannan region of Tibet. It is about 71 kilometers away from Gyantse County. It is one of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet and is the source of the eastern part of the Nyang Qu River. After coming out of Yamdrok, crossing the 4330m Smila Pass, I came under the ice tongue of the Kanola Glacier. The front edge of the ice tongue is 5,560 meters above sea level. The area where the Kanola Glacier is viewed is about 5,400 meters above sea level. In the area about 5,600 meters north of the mountain pass, it is a suspended glacier formed after the Noijin Kangsang glacier drifted southwards.

At this time, the Altitude Reaction had been very serious. This was one of the most painful Altitude Reactions in the entire journey.

    Xigaze

Xigaze is an important post-Tibetan town from ancient times to the present. It is known in the Tibetan language as “Xikazi”, which means “fertile manor” and “the land of highland barley”.

Tingri County & Everest Base Camp

This day we only planned to Everest Base Camp. All day, we rushed along the road.

At Zhagen border area, you need to show your passport and a letter to Tibet. Armed police are fully armed and real guns are used. There are numerous wolves and dogs and attention must be paid to safety.

Probably to distinguish the colors of people and mountains, the herdsmen in the plateau mountains like to wear clothes of very bright colors.

As long as there is a local Tibetan home, there is a prayer wheel, and Highlands is no exception.

You can see traces of mudslides on the turn of the pass. Tibet is a place where you have awe of nature.

    Amazing nature

    Gyawu Lha Pass

After entering the Mount Everest National Nature Reserve, it is a pass which must be passed to the Everest Base Camp and its elevation is 5,210 meters. Here you can look out for the four 8000-meter peaks (orders from left to right: Mt. Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Cho Oyu). In this sense, the largest observation deck in China is the Gyawu La Pass.

The wind was very heavy. The snow-capped mountains in the distance, the high-negativeness of the brain, and the glare of the sun, everything was integrated and it felt wonderful.

Arrived at "Mount Everest National Park", but did not formally enter.

Then met the Everest National Nature Reserve. It is worth mentioning that the washing room was really disgusting.

There were many prayer flags on the Everest Road

Then, came to the gate of “Mount Everest National Park”. Get off the bus and buy the ticket, please! The driver does not need the ticket. In addition, you must pay a fee of 100 yuan per wheel for entering the mountain. For example, by 4WD you need to pay 400 yuan because of four wheels.

    RMB100 per wheel

    Mt Everest (World's Highest Peak)

Mount Everest (Everest) is the main peak of the Himalayas and is located on the China-Nepal border. Its northern part is in Tingri County, Tibet, China (Western slope is in Zhaxizong Township, Tingri County, and the eastern slope is in Qu Dang Township, Tingri County. The township has the Everest base camp. The southern part is in Nepal. The peak is located in China and is the highest peak in the world. It is the center of Mount Everest Nature Reserve which is across China’s four counties and Nepal National Park.

In Tibetan, "Zhumu" is the meaning of the goddess, and "Langma" means the third. Because there are four peaks in the vicinity of Mount Everest and Mount Everest is the third, so it is called Mount Everest. The Nepali name is Sagarmatha, which means "Goddess of the Sky."

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.

According to the Chinese State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping in 2005, the rock face height is 8844.43 meters. Nepal uses a traditional snow cover and is 8848 meters (29029 feet). Apart from being the highest mountain, it is also the fifth farthest peak from the center of the earth.

    Everest Base Camp

It refers to the life zone established to watch the environment in the core area of Everest. There are two in China. The base camp of western slope is located in Zhaxizong Township, Tingri County, Xigaze Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, and Eastern Slope Base Camp is located in Gama ditch, Qudang Township, Tingri County. It is 5200 meters above sea level, and the straight line distance away from the peak of Mount Everest is about 19 kilometers, the national AAAAA grade tourist area. Nepal also has base camps.

    Moon above snow mountain

There are tents for climbers and tourists, as well as hotels, cafes, shops and even postal offices; solar panels are on the front door to provide evening lighting. After the climbers have settled in the base camp and rested, they can continue their tour of Mount Everest. Everest Base Camp is located in the south of the Rongbuk Monastery and is surrounded by a group of tented hotels. In the middle, a national flag and a flag of the Everest Sanctuary are set up. The Everest Base Camp mainly accommodates tourists with a toilet and tent post office. It is the highest post office in China. In addition to the two public toilets that represent modern civilization, the base camp has no other permanent buildings. From the beginning of April to the end of May each year, it is the best time to climb Mount Everest. Therefore, during this period, mountaineers from all over the world are stationed in the base camp. Numerous outdoor tents of world-famous brands are scattered on the open base campground, which is spectacular. On April 5, 2006, the first mountaineering team consisting of amateur hobbyists entered the camp and most of the team members successfully climbed to the summit.

    strong sunlight

It should be noted that in the off-season in Everest Base Camp No. 1, all facilities are closed, including the highest altitude post office in the world, and only one Tibetan guards the entrance of the No. 2 base camp to prohibit tourists from entering. In the entire base camp, there was no sunlight in the afternoon. The base camp was like a valley. Marnyi Stone on the ground was like tombstones. Then thinking of many people who climbed Everest died on Mount Everest, it was such a scene that I couldn't forget in my lifetime. god-given experience, but unfortunately, I did not shoot the scene down, because the altitude sickness made me ignore the others.

Like the rainbow mountain I visited in Zhangye

In the off-season to Everest, the probability of seeing Everest's main body is very high. Because it is the rainy season in peak season, it may be that people who have come to Everest for thousands of miles are not able to see her figure. We stayed and waited for the sunset of Mount Everest.

Monument of 5200 meters above sea level

The monument of 5200 meters above sea level is located 4km south of base camp 1 of Everest and needs to be reached in an eco-friendly car or on foot. Before arriving at the monument, armed police guarded and gave some warnings to tourists.

Everest's sunset, thousands of miles’ journey, just to see you a little more ~

    Rongbuk Monastery

Located on the top of Droma Mountain on the east and west sides of Rongbuk Ditch in the bottom of Mount Everest in the south of Basong Township of Tingri County, Xigaze Prefecture, Tibet, it is located 90 kilometers away from the county's residence and is 5,154 meters above sea level. The terrain is high and cold. It is the highest temple in the world. , so the landscape is wonderful.

The full name is “Laduicharongbudongaqulin Temple” and it is a temple belonging to the Nyingma in Tibet.

It is a monks and nuns mixed temple with local characteristics. The Rongbuk Monastery was founded in 1899 and was founded by the Nyingma Lama Awangdanzengluobu. It is located at the end of the Rongbuk Glacier in the northern foot of Mount Everest. It has an elevation of 5,154 meters and is about 20 kilometers away from the peak of Mount Everest. The temple is divided into old and new. The old temple is located 3 kilometers south of the new temple, close to Mount Everest, where Guru Rinpoche’s practice cave remains, as well as the stones and stone towers having his handprints and footprints. The New Temple was completed in 1902. The Rongbuk Monastery was once larger and had more than a dozen temples. Some were still in Nepal and were later destroyed due to historical reasons. There are now eight affiliated temples under the main temple, including a nunnery. Since the Rongbuk Monastery is about 20 kilometers away from the top of Mount Everest, it has become a base camp for climbing Everest from the north slope. Looking southwards from here is a great place to watch Mount Everest. There is a circumambulation road around the Rongbuk Monastery. In front of the main hall, there is a viewing stage decorated with colorful beams and columns. Every important festival, the local people will come here to see the Lama acting. The Marnyi Stone outside the gate is often used by photographers as a prospect of shooting Everest. In 1983 the temple experienced a large-scale construction. The mural here is worth watching.

    Colorful prayer flags

To the Everest in the off-season, except for the Rongbuk Temple, other hostels have all been withdrawn. It is available to stay in the immediate vicinity of Tingri County, but the conditions in Tingri County are also very poor, and in the off-season, as in the case of Everest, many hostels are closed. We chose to go back to Xigaze overnight and watched over the sunset at 8 o'clock and went to Xigaze at 3 o'clock in the morning. On the way back, the starry sky was very, very beautiful and I had never seen such a beautiful starry sky.

    Tashilhunpo in Shigatse

We came to the market in Xigaze and bought Tibetan goods.

This is an accessory that I like very much. I remember to try hard to cut the price down when I bought it. Because tourists and Tibetans are really different, the shopkeepers are blackmailing. The way to bargain is to ask the storekeepers to pay 20% off the price.

The furniture used by Tibetans is all artificially colored by the local people and drawn one by one stroke.

    Tashilhunpo (Tibetan Buddhist Monastery)

Tashilumpo means "Auspicious Sumeru Temple" and its full name is "Tashilumpo Baijideqinqutangjielenanbajiewalin", which means "Auspicious Sumeru Ju Fu Shu Sheng Zhu Fang Zhou". It is located at the foot of the Mt. Niseri in Xigaze, Tibet.

Tashilhunpo is the largest temple in the area.

In the 12th year of the Ming Dynasty orthodoxy, it was built by Tsongkhapa’s disciple, Gen Dunzhu. Later it was expanded by four Panchen Luosangquejijianzan The Cuoqin Palace in the temple can accommodate 2,000 people chanting scriptures. There is a statue of Sakyamuni in the temple. On both sides, there are statues of Gendunzhu and the 4th Panchen. On both sides of the hall is the Maitreya Hall and the Dumn Hall. On the west side of the temple is the Great Maitreya Hall, which is 30 meters high and magnificent. As well as ancient Panchen Lamas' Pagoda, Tibetan Buddhist relics. There is a Sizhacang(schola) in the temple, and both Exotoric Buddhism and Esoteric Buddhism are important here.

Tashilumpo Temple is comparable to the Potala Palace of Dalai. It and the "Three Great Temples" of Lhasa - Gandan Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Drepung Monastery are collectively called the "Four Great Temples" of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The four major temples and the Ta'er Temple in Qinghai, and Labrang Monastery in Gansu Province are listed as the "six major temples" of the Gelug Sect. The architectural structure also profoundly affected other Tibetan Buddhist architectures such as Wudang Temple.

    Courtyard

The hill behind Tashilumpo Monastery has a long pilgrimage path. The pious Tibetans circled around the Tashilumpo Monastery kowtowing and then walked along the back hill doing circumambulation.

Measure the earth with their bodies and walk piously on the way to the pilgrimage

There is a market near the gate of Tashilumpo Temple for Tibetans and tourists to buy.

    Opened five palaces

Due to the nature of the school, the whole building seems to be a building complex, cannot be compared with the majestic Potala Palace.

    1) Byams-pa Palace: The image of Byams-pa is very tall, and the nostril can hold a 7-8-year-old child.

    2) The 10th Panchen Lama's Pagoda Hall:

    3) The 4th Panchen Lama's Pagoda

    4) the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth Panchen Lamas’ bones burial pagoda hall

    5) The sermon hall

    Byams-pa palace

Tibetan “Byams-pa” is the most striking hall in Tashilumpo Temple. High 30, divided into 5 layers of palaces, worshiping the world's largest gilt bronze statue of Byams-pa. This gilded bronze Maitreya statue was built by the 9th Panchen Lama Choekyi Nyima in 1914, Buddha height 22.4 meters, rosette height 3.8 meters, With a total height is 26.2 meters, having used 279 kilograms of gold, 115,000 kilograms of copper, more than 300 pearls, and more than 1400 gemstones such as corals, amber, and Song’ershi. Only the brows of the giant Buddha statue are decorated with one walnut-size diamond, 30 horsebean-size diamonds, more than 60 pearls and other precious stones.

The temple still maintains the oldest way, with the most primitive locks.

With good luck, we met the living Buddha. The Tibetans devoutly surrounded the side and prayed for the living Buddha to bless them.

    Sermon Hall

At noon it was the time for the monks to learn the scriptures in Tashilumpo. We waited outside the study hall and waited for the monks to finish learning. Then we visited the Sermon hall and it was full of the smell of butter.

    Praying

The three white pagodas are the most famous buildings in the Tashilumpo Monastery. Tibetans do circumambulation around the Pagodas.

    Tashilhunpo Monastery

Regardless of whether it is the temple hall or the white tower, there is a clear direction on the ground to point the correct direction and position for kowtow.
