  • Day 1 Arrival to Lhasa

    Welcome to Lhasa and begin your wonderful trip from there. Our guide and driver will wait for you at the Airport or Train station before you arrive with a white and soft Hada, as a greeting gift to our distinguished friends. Don't worry about any delay, we will wait for you no matter when you arrive.

    Then they will escort you to your hotel in Lhasa. On the way, you can take a view of Yarlung Tsangpo River / Brahmaputra river and Lhasa river, which is beautiful with the white clouds and blue sky.

    You can use the first day to acclimatize yourself to the altitude (3,490 m). Stay in the hotel to have a rest is what we recommend. But if you feel not bad as a newcomer to Tibet, you can walk a little around your hotel, don't be hurry to go any further. Some fresh, mild, easy to digest food is the best option for dinner tonight.

    Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple)

    The morning session will be to visit Potala Palace, the cardinal landmark of Tibet and a world heritage center, traced back to 7th century. After that, if time permits and your feeling is good, we can hike to Mt. Chakpori, and take pictures of the grand Potala Palace at the best location. Or you can have a FREE time in Lhasa to experience the holy city by your own.

    In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet. At the gate of the temple, you can see many devotional pilgrims prostrating here. They come far from every Tibetan areas, no matter in Sichuan, Qinghai or Yunan.

    Barkhor street around the temple is a wonder too, to see the faithful Tibetans mumbling Mani (mantras) and circumambulating the sacred temple.

    Optional You could ask your guide to bring you to visit the night view of Potala Palace. The lights turn on at 900 pm every night. With the lightning effect, Potala Palace is different with what you see in daytime. If you're a photographer, you can't miss it.

    Day 3 Lhasa Free day

    Today is a free day, you have plenty of time for walking in this sunshine holy city, closing to the local people and feeling the Tibetan atmosphere by yourselves. No fixed arrangements.

    Day 4 Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse

    It's an amazing journey to digest from Lhasa to Shigatse, over the Kambala pass (4794 m), glimpses of Lake Yamdrok Yumtso, and Mt. Nyenchen Tanglha.

    Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet.

    Drive along Friendship highway, passing Gyantse with a holy stupa, Gyantse Kubhum, one of the most stunning architectural wonders in Tibet.

    Drive to Shigatse and overnight there.

    Day 5 Shigatse, Everest Base Camp

    In the morning, we will visit the home of Panchen Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery. Then, we'll leave Shigatse after getting your Alien's travel permit, and then drive to Lhatse, it is a small town where you can have lunch.

    After that, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer to gaze at the Mt. Everest peak. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permit at the lodging area.

    Stay overnight at tent or Rongbuk monastery guesthouse.

    Day 6 Everest Base Camp, Saga County

    Start heading toward Saga, crossing towns, lakes and nomadic sites. In the morning, we can enjoy the sunrise of Everest Peak at lodging area if weather permits; then As we head to the saga, you can view of the worlds' 14th highest peak Mt.Shishapangma (8,012m), and Turquoise Lake Pelgu Tso(4,590m). If you are lucky enough, you are very likely to see wild animals like the wild donkey, wild antelope etc. The road condition worsens once we cross Lhatse, the air gets thinner and the endless sky shows up. Saga means ‘Happy Land' in Tibetan, overnight in Saga.

    Stay overnight in a local guesthouse

    Day 7 Saga, Manasarovar, Darchen (Prepare for 3 days' kora)

    On our drive to Manasarovar, we will cut through Drongpa and Paryang.

    Another 4 hours drive from Paryang, we will reach lake Manasarovar which is about 400 sq. Km in the area and is one of the holiest lakes in Tibet, devoted by numerous Buddhists and Hindus. You can hike around or take pictures, you will have a great frame of Mt. Kailash from distant.

    Afternoon, we will drive to Darchen, 30 Km away, a small village. It is the starting and finishing line of Kailash trekking. The accommodations are simple and basic, you can relax and prepare for the next day's trekking.

    Overnight in Darchen.

    Day 8 Darchen, Drirapuk (20 km trekking distance)

    It is 52 km trekking to a complete Mt. Kailash round, starting from Darchen. We head towards Tarboche in the west, thousands of Tibetans and tourists gather there during Saka Dawa festival to celebrate. Then continuing with the trekking along Sershong valley, we will pass Chuku monastery and Lhachu river. Overnight at Drirapuk guest-house.

    Day 9 Drirapuk, Zutulpuk (18 km trekking distance)

    The second-day trekking is a bit harder than the rests, climbing Drolmala pass (5630 m). Pilgrimages read their sacred books and hang prayer flags atop the pass.

    Descending down the pass through the meadow, we will reach Zutulpuk monastery.

    Overnight in the guest-house there.

    Day 10 Zutulpuk, Darchen (14 km trekking distance)

    We will visit Zutulpuk monastery and the meditating cave of Milarepa (the famous Kagyapa magician, 11th century) in the morning.

    When you reach Barkha plain on foot, your driver will take you to Darchen, have a good rest. Overnight in Darchen.

    Day 11 Darchen, Saga

    Drive back to Saga. Appreciate the plateau view on the way.

    Overnight in Saga

    Day 12 Saga, Shigatse

    Drive back to Shigatse. Appreciate the Himalayan Mountain Range along the tour.

    Overnight in Shigatse

    Day 13 Shigatse, Lhasa

    You will visit Tashilumpo monastery in the morning, the central monastery of the former Panchen Lamas.

    There is the largest statue of Jetsun Jampa Gonpo (future god) too.

    Drive back to Lhasa along the beautiful Brahmaputra river.

    Overnight in Lhasa.

    Day 14 Departure from Lhasa

    It's your last day in Lhasa, so your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Airport or Train station as per your plan.
